I gasp as I dive into the water.
The cold water of the south coast always momentarily takes my breathe and my arms windmill in reaction.
Then my breathing slows and my arms start a steady rhythm as I head to my destination.
I get glimpses of what lies ahead as silver and white fish dart into my view over the sand.
As I get closer to edge of the rock wall I enter another world.
A world of brightly colour fish dancing and playing peek-a-boo. Coral and growths in amazing colours you normally only see in a paint catalogue.
I look up and only metres away my husband and children are also explorers in this hidden world.
A world that is opened just by diving in off beach in so many unexpected places.
