Jamberoo- where you control the action

G is lucky and unlucky to have late January birthday. Difficult for organising birthday parties but great for birthday adventures.

This year’s  trip was delayed due to much needed rain, but we got to Jamberoo in the end.

So Jamberoo is a water park basically in the middle of farm land. It is huge and surprisingly spread out.

It spreads from water parks for kids to full water rides which require the brave of heart.

I’d recommend waiting until kids are over 100cms so they do most of the rides.

There are two adventure rides for over 120. But you’d like only do them once anyway.

A few tips from our visit:

- lines were short as it was a cooler day in February,

- print out or download a map - this place is spread out;

- you can bring your own food;

- the water isn’t warm so consider spring suits to keep kids from getting too cold;

- pick wisely when setting up base camp, it is surprisingly big so you be trekking a distance to you gear;

- most rides don’t allow kids to wear googles so leave them at home;

- there don’t seem to be change rooms.

We had a great time and will be back next year for sure.

Accomodation

We camped around 25 minutes away. I’ll write another post on that accomodation. Next time we likely spurge on overnight accomodation near by as the park visit takes up most the weekend.
